For sometime now Daymo has been building an excellent reputation for delivering superb enhanced live percussion every time.
He works hard for, and with, the crowd and DJ to ensure that there is a really different vibe on a night. His set is usually two hours of continuous varied playing, using all sorts of instruments, drums, hand and stick work. As ever he will deliver whatever the promoters and management ask and want.
By the use a large and varied percussion rig he can add mood, energy or excitement to any track. The key is not overpowering the original music but adding by using over beats, under beats, off beats and beat enhancement. The other key is watching and listening hard to the performing DJ to make sure that his mixes are not spoilt and his accents and moods are underpinned.
The unique percussion rig that Daymo has built up has a range of cymbals, cowbells, bongos, congas, blocks, tambourines, hi hats, and timbales. All this to produce a fantastic sound.
His interplay between drumstick work and hand percussion makes for an awesome sound and great spectacle.
Daymo has unbelievable speed with his hands for his bongo/conga work. You have to hear it to believe it.
He is one of the most accurate (tightest) percussionists around. This adds a wonderful angle and confidence for the promoters and the performing DJs.
A live performance from Daymo is a joy to watch as everyone sees how much he loves the music and enjoys his percussion. He loves helping the crowd and DJ get the very best from the night or day occasion.
